Not quite as versatile, but quality is on par.

Agreed, but the batteries are more expensive than ryobi. If you need more than one dinky little battery then you're going to want to buy into a different battery system.

Yeah I wouldn't invest into this battery platform myself. But if the tools are cheap enough and you have other batteries you can usually find adapter to use them with other tools

The tools seem to go on clearance regularly to where you can get a tool and battery cheaper than buying a battery. Also have found some ridiculously cheap deals at Ollies for discontinued items if you have one of those near by. 4 AH batteries have hit $50-$60 several times in the last couple years as well.

This seems like a lot of value for the price, it makes the tools almost disposable. I'm in for one set

Look for a tool group and see if someone wants to swap a tool.

Any good deal for just the batteries? Atleast 2AH but preferably 4AH ones.

Walmart also has two 20 Volt 4AH batteries, charger and Impact wrench for $65.20. I purchased both this deal and the other deal for about $125.00 and ended up with 3 batteries, 2 chargers and 4 tools.

I have a pretty complete set of these tools and an s-load of batteries by doing just that. The tools seem to go on clearance during the spring/summer, and, as you pointed out, I get some of these sets cheaper than a battery alone. I have multiple chargers, too. The only thing to consider is that these batteries are often not chargeable straight from the box. You have to use the trick of jumping them from another battery or charger to put a bit of charge on them before the Hart charger will finish charging them. There are multiple videos youtube showing how to do this.

The batteries not charging without using this trick is probably why they go on sale every year. Once you charge them using the hack, you can charge them normally, and they last just fine, as long as you don't let too much time lapse before charging them, just like any tool's li-ion battery. I think these tools are about as good as any others out there. They're probably all made in the same Chinese factory.

Thanks for the link. I've been wanting a ⅜" or ½" impact wrench. Got one.
