Aren't these prices same from past few weeks?
That's a clean look. Do you have a plug-in in the back?
Running the wire under the ceiling cover is super easy and takes about 10 minutes to take it all the way back to the rear glass. Besides, even if you put another camera for the back window you will try to hide the wire somehow. Also, in case of an accident how are you going to reach back to save the video. I also bought the A229 during the last sale and it took me half hr to remove the existing cam and wire and put the new one in. TBH I spend 5 mins making sure the static film was put in the right spot and didn't have any air bubbles behind it.

Yeah, double check the infographic to make sure it's compatible with your camera.

There's only 1 hardware kit you is compatible, the HK4 kit.SD cards I just used a random microSD card I had lying around. Haven't had any issues whatsoever yet.
Do I also need to buy a Dash cam Power Adapter ? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...BRAK&psc=1

HK4 is for hardwiring the camera into your cars fuse box, it enables an always on setting and allows for parking mode on the camera.

You can plug the camera into your cars cigarette lighter or built-in USB ports but those are not energized unless the car is running, so parking mode is not possible with this method. It's a simpler installation if you don't need parking mode. I opted for this method since I didn't need parking mode.

This power adapter you isn't needed if you go with the hardwiring into the fuse box as described above. Note Best Buy will install the camera for you for like $100 if that helps you out.

How does this compare to the ROVE R2-4K PRO (minus the the rear cam)? I paid $80 for it but it hasn't shipped yet.

Yes, I've never even seen these power adapter kit you've mentioned. Hardwiring into the fuse box is very common and the norm for dash cams.

I saw this even before this deal was posted but upon reading older deal threads, seems Viofo has one major flaw which is it doesnt tolerate heat very well and a lot of people living in hotter areas reported the dashcam stops working.

I ended up going with this and easy pisy install to the cigarette lighter outlet. Just tucked the wire behind the dashboard. I live in Sacramento and this past summer, we had 100+ temps for over 4 months straight so not taking a chance with Viofo. We are in winter now but will post update next summer.

Planning to buy the hardwire kit. Looking to hear from anyone who's hardwired their Viofo or dashcams in general if it's worth the effort (of learning how and actually doing it)

What did you do to make sure you aren't interfering with the side airbag? That's my only concern.
if you have airbags in pillar you route the wire underneath the airbag. just use a stiff zip tie or something flexible. for the roof just make sure the wire isnt crossing over any of the airbags depending if you have side curtains. its fine to run right near the weatherstripping just as long as u dont cross over the bags
