Got this game at launch and imo it was worth it at full price, so this is good. Campaign is good and can be played multiplayer and ties into the Operations mode, where each operation is basically a continuation or separate section of one of the story missions. Basically in the campaign you are doing one thing and there is a separate "team" you are told about that is supporting you elsewhere.

You only get achievements in campaign and play as either Titus or one of 2 other story characters (you don't get to choose, player 1 will always be Titus, etc.). This is 3 player coop, and there is no "progression" or anything to earn other than beating the story and achievements.

Operations is also 3 player coop, you can choose one of 6 classes to level up, each class has a main "power" specific to them to use, get better weapons and abilities, new armor pieces and colors, etc. There is no crossover between ops and campaign other than the story tie ins.

There is also a PVP mode, but I have not really played that much so will leave it to others to comment. It does have a similar but separate progression system to ops.

This is a hack and slash shooter with specific gameplay mechanics that you need to "get good" at to play on the upper difficulties. Very rewarding to play imo. Looks good, good story, action/fighting/shooting is excellent.
The pro patch just came out for this and it is done right.

Right right. Some games you can connect on multiplayer server without PsPlus. That means one has to invest about $80 to play this game the first month. That's quite a lot for me.

Pretty sure it's only free-to-play games that don't require an online subscription to play the multiplayer. Not sure if there's a way to get significantly cheaper ps plus

Which COD? BO6 does need it for zombies and multiplayer. Not for campaign though. Warzone is f2p so don't need it for that either.
