Solid game if you are into the horde shooter vibe. This has a whole hack n slash mechanic that is excellent too though.
Includes a whole campaign (3 player co op), pvp (6v6), and "operations" (3 player co op). They are adding a brand new free horde mode at the end of this month.
The Operations, which are basically replayable missions that add to the story where you can level up one of 6 different classes along with melee weapons and firearms adds the replayability (along with the upcoming horde mode which will use the same classes and progression systems). Operations launched with 6 missions but now have added 3 more for 9 total. They have added new weapons as well, and a new class is in the works. This is all free and the devs have promised to support the game with more free updates for at least another year after this one too.
You do have to "get good" to be able to play on the highest difficulties, so if that isn't for you and you prefer just to play easier games or difficulties, or just play a mission once and say you beat it, you might not find as much replayability in this as others who enjoy that. I myself have nearly 500 hours in this game, mostly in Ops, but to each their own. The Ops do have variations that happen each mission to make it a little more variable and multiple paths to take and stuff to find, unlockable cosmetics, etc. to keep it a little fresher though at least.

Side note for xbox people the original is getting a remaster which will be on game pass June 10th
It will not be on PS5 (maybe a later date)
edit: hearing good things* about this
It's alright. Nothing special. It's very repetitive. I traded it in after I beat it, and my friend, who loves the game, has said they've been messing it up.

Every single mother fu****ing time I order a disc game from Amazon, the disc has popped out of its holder and is moving around within the case getting scratched up
yes, I never bothered with the multiplayer version because i was so bored with the game.
in hindsight that is where i heard about all the action on this game so i should have tried it. the mechanics of the game were just so tiresome...the same 'finishing moves' over and over and the boring selection of weapons just made it feel like work to get through it.

Yeah, I feel you on campaign but as you said the campaign is supposed to be just an extended training session for the multiplayer.

It has a very positive rating on steam with well over 100,000 reviews. Recent ratings are also very positive.
