Nice deal. I have the 4070 version and I love it. This is my second Predator laptop. The first one is still running strong, just older by years, and I wanted an upgrade. These things are solid.
I bought the 16" Predator version that went on sale before BF for $1400 OTD except with 16 GB of RAM. It's sluggish. This 32 GB RAM version should be better.
Picked this up purely by chance when I was looking at the older deal also posted the Dr…was pleasantly surprised to see it cheaper, and decided to bite at <=1800 after tax.
Any ways to test/reference material to see if we got a good unit vs a lemon?
Why so many refurbished Acer laptops? Acer seems to have a huge inventory of refurbished laptops… are they not good laptops? Does Acer not make good laptops and they break hence why they have so much refurbished inventory?

I know a guy who buys them to review on social media and then return them. Kinda like those chicks who buy clothes to wear and post a bunch of pictures and then return them.

I don't know, but I'm about to find out.
What I find interesting is that their laptops are not as well reviewed on mainstream YouTuber websites… Mostly find* info from the smaller YouTube channels, and it's somewhat difficult because some of those videos feel more like glorified ads

I bought the 4060 refurbished version from eBay a year ago and it was a disaster. Was DOA when I initially got it, zero activity when I pressed the power button. I sent it back and was assured that they could fix whatever the problem was. Waited 3 weeks and got it back and same thing. The thing was DOA again exactly as before and it said in the notes that they "reinstalled OS". How could they have done that when it wouldn't even power on? Got my money back thankfully but they wasted nearly 2 months of my time without a laptop for work. Got a new Lenovo from Best Buy instead.

They have one, they put it up, it sells and goes OOS again. They've only sold ~35 of them. Any way to get an eBay notification when it comes back in stock?

I've heard the legion pro i7 build quality compared to this is in another league.
I know my legion 7i can cook eggs on the keyboard. That is why I'm gonna send it back and get something with better cooling. I just want to type in chat when gaming without burning off my fingertips lol
