"The Hisense U8/U8K and TCL QM8/QM851G QLED are evenly matched, with only small differences. The TCL is a bit brighter in HDR and SDR, but the Hisense is more accurate in HDR and SDR. The TCL has slightly better image processing. Gamers might prefer the TCL, which has a noticeably faster response time than the Hisense. Ultimately, the Hisense is the better choice if you care about image accuracy. Otherwise, the TCL offers a slightly brighter image."
100 inch is bigger than 98 inch by about size of 20 inch screen.
Both are great TVs for the price. But for 2600$ U8K was a better deal IMO

Keep saying that to yourself.
Delusional.
Real life:
86" Sammy beats OLED
120" 4k Shift projector dedicated theater beats both.
100"(98") Sammy will replace dedicated theater room and/or any of the above.
Otherwise, they will leave it on the porch or inside the garage. As they are not required to bring it in. I gave him a $10 tip for a 2min lift
We put it on our all-wood table/console and it was fine, just heavy as hell to lift up 4ft in the air and not touch the screen, drop it and not lift at the bottom that can crack the screen.
It's crazy, we went from heavy tv sets in the 80's-2000, then 65" light as a feather, and now mini-led heavy as hell sets again
I am wondering how much better the qm8 is vs the qm7 as I currently have the 7 scheduled for install the 31st, but can get this qm8 for $700 more and have it installed the 24th
How much better is the qm8 compared to qm7?

I've been waiting for this to hit 3k to replace my 85" QM850 so I'm pretty happy though.

On the brightness side, these TVs destroy OLED when it comes to an HDR experience. Especially OLEDs released before the current models. Even the current models that have greatly increased brightness can't touch these TV's from TCL and Hisense.
Can you demo a scenario where they look like crap in comparison? For sure. Blank star fields and fireworks are going to be your nemesis with these sets but how often are you actually watching those scenes?
