Wanted to create a New thread for this....Now that it's Official the Youtube TV price increase in 2025 of 16% - from $72.99 to 82.99/month+taxes (in some states)...

If you go to Cancel your subscription, it will ask you the Reason - choose 'Cost' - I got a pop up saying Stay with us for 6 months at $72.99.... and Agree. Mine says 72.99 until June 2025 -
I will say, I got a generic confirmation email saying a Promo was applied to my account, However no details about the discount or how long --- I did print the screen with the pop up for my records.... also noticed when I first checked my account it said 12/27 - $72.99 and after I did the Cancel and looked again at the Billing page - it shows 12/27 - $82.99....
so time will tell.
EDITED to say - not sure if you're better off waiting until beginning of Jan to get full 6 months or if it matters - mines says promo good til June 2025...so I'll either get 5 months discounted or maybe 6 if they don't charge 82.99 in June.

Yup another increase. I'll try this if not moving to Fubo a couple of dollars less and more channels. I think $78??

It worked for me. I had to click 'Continue to cancel' before getting the page that offered the discount. I clicked the 'Agree' button on that page and quickly got this via email

What if your YouTubeTV is bundled with your internet provider like Frontier? Hopefully, they'd give same discount for at least 6 months.

I wouldn't recommend trying this on the app. Didn't get it when doing it via the app.

I did this and got the offer but I'll wait until my next billing cycle to get an extra month at the old cost as the price increase is due in January.

I got the retention offer mentioned. Blows my mind that a bundle with YouTube Premium of some sort of discount doesn't after all these years. I guess the jokes on me because I was getting ready to take a break for 2025 and got suckered by the keep your current rate deal.

Didn't get the offer on the app, but did when I tried a browser. Thanks OP.

And so much for cutting the cord. I plan to cancel at the end of the 6 months.

thank you!! i share my subscription anyways with family, you can share with 6 people, and have 3 concurrent screens, so its easy to do, been doing it for years, and NEVER an issue with google. so split a few ways, its not that big of a cost, but that said, they will probably only offer this deal for a limited time, and i didnt want to miss out even on 5 months with my billing cycle. worked easily and quickly!!
