Lowest new customer offer I see is the 3-month Mint offer through Amazon at $30, with no other fees...so $10 a month, but have to port out and back in. We keep the same number each time but port out for a few days (or hours) to a $5 plan...so I guess that's closer to $12 a month. Might be worth it to spend the extra $2.67 a month to have it all set without having to port for a few months.
I don't think I'll go that route though, lol. Only because of a Total Wireless offer on Chase cc of 25% cash back, plus cash back site giving 15%. So we'll port out to that for a month, it includes int'l roaming for this month's trip, and a streaming service coming in around $19 total for the month.
Then we'll go back to Mint before this offer expires at the end of January and do one of the 12-month plans if they're still half off. That way we meet the $90 minimum to trigger AMEX, and still be under $15 a month on the Unlimited.
EDIT:
I called in for my account number (chat wouldn't load) and ended up getting an offer to pay $160 for a year w/15gb. After tax, fees and the AMEX discount it worked out to $11 a month so I stuck with. Might still do one month with the Total deal for traveling and just switch between SIMs.
By the way, he started at a higher number on the offer but ended up coming down another $40. Only way to go lower than that was to do 5gb plan which averaged out to $7 a month. Considering this is our son's plan who'll move on campus next year I went with the higher data plan since he'll be out and about more after graduating.
