Oof would never fly China eastern again. Left us stranded in the airport throughout most of the night on a long delay. Finally got cheap meals after the other passengers got so fed up they were screaming at staff. Then got four hours to sleep bc they booked uh that type of hotel, which again only happened after other passengers were screaming at them.

Flight companies are simply stupid.
They sell LA-Shanghai-Taipei RT for only $680 while the LA-Shanghai RT is easily $970 at this time.

The layover at PVG is overnight. So you won't be able to do that much activities unless it's night time activity and you stay up. I see for LAX to TPE you arrive in PVG at 5:10pm and leave 12:25pm. On the way back it's arrive 8:40pm and leave 1:05pm.

^^^ yea, that's why i mentioned night markets and disneyland closes at about 10 pm.
