I had a refurbished b450 version of this board and loved it. The bios flash button is a very nice feature to have. The only downside is no built in Bluetooth or wifi. Still a great buy for anyone who is fine with sticking with AM4 or is doing a build on a budget.
This paired with a 5700x3d and cheap DDR4 makes this a dream budget gaming platform that easily keeps up with AM5 for a big chunk of change less
So for someone like myself still rocking a Zen 3600 / 2070 Super but does plan on getting a Zen 5700X3D in 3-4 months and depending on GPU prices a 4070 Super or 5070, I should go ahead and get this MOBO right now?
I have a AORUS B450 Gigabyte now, does what I need, gaming and basic computing
I'm still on the B450 Tomahawk Max from 2020. Thought about going to AM5 but after some research I just don't see the value at this point so I think will just update the CPU and Video Card for now.

Ditto, MSI B450 Tomahawk + R5 3600 + RTX 3070. setup is still okay for most 1440p gaming

A bit disappointed by the small amount of USB ports on the back. Seems like there's only 5, and only 3 of them are USB 3.0.
I expected more from an ATX sized mobo.

Only if you need a new mobo, otherwise I'd skip the extra expense.
It has been on sale in combos pretty recently, so it's probably not the last sale on it
MsI boards are great but my gpu, the 7900 gre didn't play nice with it. I had to downgrade the board version by a year in order for the computer to boot with the gpu installed.

No, you need it even less since you already have one. If you need to upgrade, you'll probably know. Maybe you want more and faster m.2 slots, usb ports, a pcie slot or something. You just need to update your bios before putting the new cpu in.
