I worked at harbor freight from 2003 to 2005 and I know it's been a long time since then but I will just say that the harbor freight lockable pliers are soft metal compared to better brands like vise grip and snap-on and crescent which this deal is since this is a crescent deal.
I was at the cash register when people were returning these items and I was required to ask them why they were returning, I can tell you that I definitely remember quite a bit of people returning these lockable pliers due to the fact that the serrations on the grip were so soft that they would not bind to what they were clipping onto without stripping the serrations from the metal of the plier. now I don't know if this is changed after all this time, but I bet it hasn't but I would just be speculating but still I'm pretty sure that for the price that harbor freight sells their locking pliers for that this soft hardness of the metal especially at the serrations hasn't changed much. I will also say that I actually own a set of harbor freight lockable pliers set like this and that they're pure trash compared to even mediocre American brands and I know that first hand because I own vice grip lockable pliers. so I actually bought this deal here for $17 for a set of five because like the predecessor poster just posted it really is only $3.40 per unit and that is really a great deal for a quality crescent brand.

Home Depot has 3 Husky for about 14. So Husky vs Crescent, which one wins? I guess they are pretty much the same? Or not? Anyone has experience with both? The price is good so I am going to get a set now. Thanks.

I want my extra $2.43 back. I bought this for the previous $20 deal 2 days ago when it came back in stock. And now it won't ship until like Jan 13th lol.
