There are 91,452 BTU in one gallon of propane. So assuming this device can actually hit it's 60k BTU an hour max then you would get 90 mins per gallon of propane.

Also I'm assuming you mean 20LB propane tank, not 20 gallons. A 20LB propane tank holds 4.7 gallons of propane. At it's max setting of 60k BTU an hour you could expect it to roughly last 7 hours. Most likely a little less because you cannot use every single drop in a propane tank.

Double that figure for the 30k BTU rate.
Anybody have one? This is one tool I don't have. Seems like it could be helpful to heat a garage or basement on an as needed basis.
Doesn't appear to have any low oxygen cutoff, be careful if using indoors

Is this being powered by battery, propane or power outlet? So confusing
Propane to provide the heat, and I think battery or electric for ignition and the fan to blow it out.

Requires propane as fuel to produce heat. Chose battery or an extension cord to provide electric power for the fan.

Has anyone used something like this to blow heat underneath a car while you are laying on the cold ground in winter working on it? Wondering if it would make that scenario comfortable or would the heat just dissipate too quickly and be a complete waste?

My garage is "occupied" so I currently have to do all my automotive work in the driveway.

FYI when using the 18v battery, you get about 8 minutes per ah of use. So a 4ah battery will get you about 32 minutes.
I see several mentions on home depot that you get roughly 1 hour of runtime per AH. A 4ah battery lasts 4-5 hours.

Can confirm, I hardly go through batteries using this. I probably had it on for 30 mins and it brought my garage from 30 to 70 degrees. Didn't drop a blip on my 4ah. Every time I use this I'm constantly complaining about it being too hot all of a sudden 🤣

Anyone know how long it would take to consume a 20 gallon propane tank on the lowest setting vs highest setting?

Been wanting one of these! Cheaper than the Mr. Heater ones at this price. Will be using while grilling, at kids ball games and etc.

Was googling for reviews and came across this vendor. Is this the same product? Anyone have experience with the vendor?

Edit: Looking around the site and it appears to be a dress seller. Not sure what's up with that.

Tell me more about the makita battery and adapter - what exactly do you use and is it better performer than ryobi battery?
Just an adapter to fit to Ryobi socket : https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Ad...B097G9JZ2L

I have one and it is absolutely fantastic! When I run it in my garage I use a Carbon Monoxide Detector that I got from Home Depot just to be safe.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Kidde.../315577247
Having a Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector is good - though it would be good to have a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) detector as ventless can produce too much if your space doesn't have enough external ventilation.

Currently my NG wall heater produces too much in my 3 car garage. This Ryobi has almost 2x the BTU, and propane can produce more CO2 than NG.

I wish there were more vented options, at least for lower prices.

This is correct! I have this heater. Not only is it amazing, producing a lot of heat, the standard Ryobi 4.0ah battery lasts for several hours. I was surprised how long the battery lasted the 1st time I used the heater. I've had it for 2 years with zero issues. Get one! You won't be sorry 😁
