At this point my kids have probably sunk a few grand into Robucks between gift cards at birthdays and Christmas and them nagging me with "I just need 100 robucks to get this thing" and I have absolutely no idea what that money got them at all. It's like a black hole. It's insane.
Congrats to the Roblox corporation for figuring out this incredible grift.

I know you are going to get attacked for this but you are right. Cut my kids off two years ago and and after about a week of detox they never talked about Roblox again. Best decision we ever made. I cant believe this "game" is legal.

Buy stuff like book or puzzles for your kid instead of this if you don't want your kid to be consumed by brainrot in future

No. Its one card and when you redeem it, it loads to a single account. Unless something has changed very recently, you also can't gift Robucks directly. You have to buy something with them and gift that.

I don't disagree with the point… but there are literally hundreds if not thousands of games with essentially the same revenue model.

The same model is used in plenty of other platforms unrelated to gaming.

Congrats on cutting your kids off of this addiction. I did the same. It is nice to see my kids hang out with other kids and play in real world instead of stuck in front of a screen. Their grades improved too as they now have lot of free time for academics.

This is the way. If I could keep my kids off two things it's Roblox and YouTube. YouTube at least has some good stuff if you pay attention to what they are watching but Roblox has no good qualities.
