It's a decent price based on the costs of the 4ah batteries. As for the "regular price" of over $500, that's just plainly ridiculous. I use the Parkside 20v cordless gardening tools sold at Lidl, and they have a dual-battery simultaneous charger for $20 - I've been using it for the past few years and it works perfectly. I see no reason why the regular price of the charger from Ridgid should be 10 times that of the Parkside other than the Ridgid unit being a little sleaker.

Lifetime warrenty on charger and battery's is one reason. Buy once cry once. But I agree $500 is crazy and would be a instant buy for me at $100!

But for now I can still hold out lol

No it's a luke warm deal on the batteries.

These are not max output. Unless you really want the charger (i don't, I have so many i am ready to toss a few) or need the 2ah batteries to keep smaller tools light, this is lukewarm.

You can hack 20 of the the max output 4ah batteries for 74.50 right now

I bought this earlier this week. Just want the charger. I sold the two 4.0Ah batteries and have the two 2.0Ah left if someone is interested. Located in Houston.
