Called 833-428-1765 and added 2 lines with BOGO offer. $10 for the first line and 2nd one is free. Took 2 iphone 16s by trading 2 iphone 13s. Received $830 credit on each trade in. And I'll be receiving two $75 costco cash cards after 90 days. Great deal for me, thanks OP.
Btw, costco B&M said I don't qualify for this offer. |
THANK YOU!!
I went to my local costco and it was miserable. No promo, BOGO was on hold, no costco cash card on my plan. Couldnt help me even though I verified my plan was qualified. Went home, read this, called and added 2 lines with BOGO. It was $15 first line and 2nd one was free, but with autodebit, they reduced it to $10. Took 1 phone 16 pro and traded in a Galaxy S9 that I got on ebay for $100, and got $830 credit - $30 trade in and $800 in 24 montly credits. The phone was $1099 and $45.79 monthly so $12.46 monthly plus $10 for 2 lines. Plus one $75 costco card which should offset the monthly line charge until I can cancel. So its a reasonably good offer for a phone 16 pro 256GB for $500 (tax included, ebay trade in cost included - half off). |

1) Porting out a number with promotions will kill the promotions
2) Porting out a free line number will kill the free line
3) Porting out when other promotions require no cancellations
I went to Costco two days ago and added lines for my parents, who were going to port in. Now I've learned that they were on tmobile all along, so their ports are not actually ports and I have to cancel those new lines (which are each netting me $175 Costco GCs and about $400 off a new phone each).
I figure I can at least keep 1 by canceling my own line and taking my phone to one of the new numbers (I use a GV number so I don't care what my TMo number is). Then maybe I'll have one of my parents (the new users) port over to some MVNO before for a few months and then port in after 3 months, so I'll have only canceled one line.
But some people are taking advantage of the iPhone 16 promo b/c they're doing the BOGO lines promo. And the iPhone promo requires a new line + trade-in.
Towards the top of the page, there is this text "See 9 promotions", click/tap it and it will open up the available promotions for the device. Each promo with have a "see Details" link to go deeper into the details of that promo option.
If you're on the base Go5G plan, and you don't want to get any new lines, your only option to get an iPhone 16 series device is the following promo:
"Up to $300 off with trade on Go5G
Via 24 monthly bill credits when you trade in an eligible device on a Go5G plan."
So you can upgrade one of your current lines and trade in an eligible device for $300 off, over 24-mos of bill credits. Eligible devices are the same as the ones from the original post details; Apple iPhone 11 Pro or newer, Samsung S9 or newer, etc..
When I login it takes me to the Tmo business site. That does not reflect this deal.
It looks like I can checkout on the normal site as a guest. Anyone know if that will work for a military account, which they treat as business?
Samsung needs to step up the plate and offer like Google did.

Thanks for pointing that out! I did a search, but nothing came up. I thought it was odd, especially since earlier phone plans qualified for the promotion.
No new lines required. Just large trade in values for cheap phones.

I couldn't talk to anyone in the US. So frustrating.
I filled out a BBB complaint and instantly got a call from a very nice woman who solved my problem instantly.
Try that.

It doesn't require lines, either.
However, you don't get Android or iPhone.
You also have to be on a much pricier plan. I guess it makes sense for people who aren't on a cheap T-Mobile godfathered plan, like I have (Magenta 55+).
I only pay 80 dollars for two lines…
