Got the blue from best buy for 170 out of curiosity. I have the xm5 xm4 and qc ultra. Momentums sound fine but the noise cancelling is definitely not as good, also they are not as comfortable, ear pads feel cheap I noticed touch controls keep turning back on and are very sensitive.

Id suggest passing although for the price they sound good and have maybe 65-70% of the noise cancelling of the others. I'm returning mine.

Also there's a deal on the AKG n9 hybrids floating around here. Might be worth a look, before biting on these.
My $0.02. I tried these Sennheiser Momenum 4s, though it was a year or 2 ago. Sound quality wise, they are really nice. Excellent, satisfying audio quality (for music). I too found Sony to be a bit bass heavy and dark, not as clear as I would like. However, one thing I really disliked about the Sennheisers were their touch controls: they are sensitive and super easy to accidentally activate or change something. I found them frustrating to use. Yes, you can disable the touch controls, but they are enabled again each time you turn on the headphones. If they come out with Momentum 5s that have physical buttons instead of touch, I would definitely be interested.
I own these, the 1000xm5, the qcs 35, and the m3s (I come here too much). With every pair there are trade offs. The qcs35s are more comfortable, the 1000xm5s have better ANC, and the M3s in my opinion have better sound. However I always find myself coming back to the m4s as I think they are the best all around. Sound, with sound personalization, is close the the m3s. ANC, as someone else mentioned is about 70-80 percent of what the 1000xm5s are, and comfort I find them more comfortable than the m3s, less than the qcs, and equal or maybe even slightly better than the 1000xm5s. Bright with some pop for bass, but not overwhelming.

This or... Denon PerL Pro? I know it's over ears versus ear buds.
I'm tempted by the Denon.

Anyone see any info on how they sound vs the momentum 3. Those momentum 3 seems to have old school sennheiser tuning. These seem to have more trendy design and with sonovo acquiring sennheiser consumer audio not sure about the sound and quality

I can vouch for these. Was looking for cans that were more accurate -- Sony is way too bass heavy and muddies the music -- and these fit the bill. The ANC is sufficient for flying. The battery lasts an insanely long time.

The only caveat: they're tight. I have a very large head, and it def took some time to break in the fit until they were no longer uncomfortable. Those with an average noggin will do alright, though.

So for this price we get many vouchers ? This is a little outside the budget but I was wanting something different as my q35's have finally bit it. Will these sound much better than my soundcores did ? Thanks you all..

Been using my Bose QC35s for several years now. I absolutely love them, especially the fit, comfort and ANC (mainly on airplanes).

Really tempted to upgrade to these. Curious to get people's thoughts, especially if you've previously owned the Bose QC35s.

The blue one looks 🔥

It's the physical buttons on my Bose QC35s that I'm having a hard time upgrading.

I would suggest you upgrade to Bose Ultra for $100 more with the occasional sale. These headphones are great but not comfortable, clamping force is too tight

under what codec? I find the Sony cans do really well with LDAC. did you try and lower the bass in the Sony app?

Bought these over the summer and they're just not worth it. The sound is decent and even the noise cancelling isn't bad, but every other aspect sucks.

They touch controls are way too sensitive to the point where when my arms go above my head there's a decent chance my shoulder is going to touch the pad and it'll detect some gesture. They randomly turn on when I have them in my bag. Even when trying to turn them off, sometimes they'll turn right back on. They really struggle with 2 connections. Of course any headphone has issues if you try to listen to 2 sources at once. That's not the issue. I mean to say, if 2 devices are connected and one is playing music and the other is not doing anything, sometimes they'll favor the idle device. They'll randomly try to connect to old devices; leading you to basically need to re-pair every time you want to use them. They fall of your ears/head way easier than any other pair I've owned. The touch gestures sometimes just don't work.

I could go on but they're just a bad experience. I'd highly recommend getting anything else in the same price bracket.
