I guess it is the LG g4, which costs about $2300 from LG itself. The price was 3000 - $600ish employee discount
That was for 77. The 65 was 1400ish

I never planned on buying them. I was curious how many were actually available at that price. Then realized it stuck them in my cart. I emptied my cart in hopes it made more available at 999.
that's not how it works. empty cart doesn't allow more inventory. STILL, I'm surprised that "save for later" also saves the price.

Damn, I feel like I didnt get such a great deal on my 65 C4 now. Though mounting and soundbar were included. If I sell the soundbar it will be cheaper than this

Do you have any idea how to get an employee discount? I have wanted to ask this question for a long time. Since I'm not on the company list, I wonder if there's another way around it.

I have no idea. It gets brought up a lot in other places and I haven't seen anyone with a solution other than asking family

1000 for a 65" G3 is a better deal than 1400 for a 65" G4 imo

But honestly either of those deals are amazing

The only differences are

1) G4 can go up to 144hz vs 120hz on the G3
2) G4 doesn't lose any brightness in HDR in game mode whereas the G3 loses a little bit
3) G3 has a better warranty with years 1-3 of its 5 year warranty being full parts + labor coverage

Very little between them really.

Thanks. Honestly I had no plans of buying a TV (def not under 83" oled or 98" non-oled). But... SD happens. Will try to fit this somewhere (assuming amazon ships). Have a good spot but it's directly over a fireplace we use. Not risking putting oled there (have amz omni 65" there), unless someone can convince me this is heat proof Smilie

the warranty bit is nice. anyone thinks above fireplace install might be covered?

Ehhhh I'd try to avoid putting it above a fireplace. That's heat.

Heat is what causes burn in on OLEDs and general TV failure in the first place.

This is a high end OLED TV - even though you got it for a "budget" price, it needs to be treated like you spent $2300 on it. This tv will last you a decade if you want it to.

Yeah, our decade old lg tv used to stop responding after the fireplace being on for a while. But it kept trucking for years until I moved to bigger amz omni firetv. Let's see how long this survives the fireplace. I'll find some other place for g3.

I absolutely hate that trend of putting a TV over the fireplace. So stupid. Although I bet chiropractors love that trend. You're supposed to put the TV at eye level for optimal viewing and for comfort. Why people want to replicate that first row in the theater experience is beyond me.

And yes I know some people don't have a choice and this is just my preference. I'm mainly being facetious.

I'm glad I got in on that Target clearance C3 deal for $1000 earlier this year. I would have been really kicking myself for missing this deal.

Do you always watch TV while sitting upright? I'm always relaxed in my lazy boy and have to lower my chin to my chest to see the TV if it's not higher.

🤷🏻 I have no problems when I lean back.
