Depends on the kid. This game, unlike most games before and after it, requires a certain level of precision with the control stick that a lot of kids don't have. Most of the games require you to maneuver your character in specific ways which is difficult for kids and people who don't play very many video games.
I've had much more success with the sequel WarioWare: Move It at parties and gatherings because almost everyone understands motion controls within seconds and they level the playing field against even hardcore gamers. But with Get It Together, you won't be able to teach precision platforming skills with a joystick in a short time so some people will have a clear advantage over others.
I know the price is cheap, and while I do love me some WarioWare, I think Get It Together was a clear misstep and is not worth even the low price. Save up or wait for a sale on Move It instead.
