Yes, it works almost perfectly with our bedroom Roku tv. I recommend turning off any of the virtual surround sound settings, though, and playing it in only stereo.

The stereo performance is great but there is some insanely annoying audio glitching any time surround sound is used. I can only describe it like the soundbar can't process the signal appropriately and constantly mixes the tweeters resulting in some hiss-like noises in the background.

I still recommend this soundbar overall. It's hard to complain at this price point especially.

How does this compare to the TCL Alto 8 plus 2.1.2 (TS8212-NA) version?

They are $104 renewed at Amazon.

I set it up this weekend and it sounded fine.
It's apparently a slightly derated hs5100. Rtings did not test the hs5100. They said the hs2100 is better than the tcl s45h though.

I bought two of those Hisense units and returned both. The one I set up didn't sound right, especially the subwoofer. It's like it couldn't produce the bass tones and would just flutter. Everything sounded hollow and weak.

I have this in my bedroom. A lot of sound for the price and highly recommend if your looking to upgrade factory sound on TV.

If I have a Samsung frame with a S800B soundbar that I found on sale, and I'm not like some sort of audio genius, will this be ok for the 2nd frame in our bedroom? ETA: will it sound terrible relative to the other soundbar
