Probably. You sit with your own child and build with them. You can also sign up and pick up their kit,to complete at home.

As long as you sign up, you can grab the kit and go home if you need to. I've done this several times

I did not know this - free take-home kit, slick! (Probably whomever's putting on the workshop wouldn't mind one fewer kid in attendance, ha.)

Back in the day Lowe's had great kits with stickers and such, then they got rid of the event for awhile. HD has always been good but usually has painting (kids have fun but huge hassle for parents), and they used to have snacks too. HD has become much more stringent about everyone one reserved being physically present for the event meaning they won't let you just grab any number of kits and go.
