Fyi, there are various compatibility issues for the android model. It states it's compatible with Android 12 and newer, but buried it says there are several (popular) chipsets that have various issues. I have experienced those issues with my Pixel 7 and 8 Pro.l and can no longer use it.

I bought this for personal use to check my home yearly. I found the resolution really disappointing. Topdon sells at a similar price point without the deal but with much better specs imo. With the deal it's more reasonable but I wouldn't prefer it.

No it's not good for people in the woods.
This along with all phone thermal units are designed for <10ft only. They use different sensors than those cheap hunting units that designed for detecting thermal signals further out.
Different products different purpose. These are great for electricians and professional users conducting inspections but NOT for hunting or surveillance.

Wouldn't it be better to get an app for your phone? It's about the same price and I would assume it includes updates.
Oh Tami 😆

It doesn't. You'll need the FLIR ONE EDGE or FLIR ONE EDGE PRO

They don't seem to have a product supporting iPhone 15/16 series?
The FLIR ONE EDGE and FLIR ONE EDGE PRO models support the latest USB-C iPhones

I have a usb-c version, as others have said the resolution is really low and it's okay for finding cold leaks in the house. This camera is kind of a bad deign, you have to charge it and it has a TINY battery which runs down fast and now the battery is basically old and useless so I have to plug it into phone and plug it into a battery pack to use which is just a klunky mess.

I passed on this and went with Topdon. I am pleased with it so far.

Once ur battery goes dead, they will not replace/repair it even if u offer to buy/pay for replacement. The device/battery is a crapfest to open/remove and i couldn't find an exact replacement for the battery. All they offered was a discount on a new product.

edit..I got the android version

Yep!

Flir for smartphones suck because of the internal battery they won't repair when it dies.
Seek Thermal cameras run off the port and don't have this problem.

For some phones with a built-in thermal camera, the app would enable that feature.

Those are specialized phones that already come with software for this purpose.

So the most you're doing is trading one app for another.

You're not going to find a consumer phone that has a thermal camera buried as a hidden feature. If it has it, it will be highly advertised.
