You're confusing FSA with HSA funds (which don't expire).

That's an amazing hack, especially since people are scrambling to spend their HSA before year end.
That's FSA, not HSA

Because you have a fan, not an air purifier. All purifiers will have a "subscription" that's what makes them effective

Thanks, I almost bought this thinking it was a newer version of HP04
A lot of their Heat/Cool versions don't have wifi. Makes me wonder if that's why there's so many refurbs- people not realizing and returning them.

The authentic filters are outrageous, $70-80. The knockoff filters are usually around $30, but it can be difficult to install them properly (the unit won't reset after replacing the filter).
This. The problem with knock offs is that I'm worried about them not being true HEPA. I go with the real thing that cost an arm and a leg. I also have a winix purifier in the same room that I use knock off filters for. This helps stretch the life of the Dyson filters.

Yes nothing gets hot outside so safe to touch, but I still wouldn't leave them alone with it unsupervised.

Keep in mind you can also wash the filters and reuse them. You have to dry them completely, but it works.

Yes, there is no exposed heating element and no openings big enough for the little ones to poke into. Probably one of the safest heater for kids. I have one for my kid.

My Dyson does, but due to some US law (or Dyson rule) you can only set fan up or down and not the heat via WiFi.

What's the purpose or benefit of connecting to the dyson app?

I have HP02 for daughter's room- heat stability is great, never hot to touch, and benefit of HEPA air purifier. But for me the Dyson app is nice to track and display temperature/air quality/humidity info and doubles as remote (except for temperature control). If app is not deal breaker then I think at this price it's good deal. And yes, I keep it on top of the dresser out of reach.

I was skeptical about this so I did a little research. Turns out any HEPA filters are destroyed when washed or when moisture is introduced to them.

It's Dyson refurbished? Imagine being a woot item there's still no warranty. Big risk.
