returns are IMO likely because people dont know the difference in USB C versions and/or not all USB C ports are created equal

i have 5+ different ugreen adapters and when leveraged in the correct situations the work as expected

No HDMI or PD passthrough on OPs listing. Suggest this model instead if you want to stick with Ugreen, Revodock Pro 6 in 1 https://a.co/d/6zCYPvd which is marked at 25% off at $22.49. Has 100w PD passthrough, HDMI, ethernet and USB ports.

Based on ratings of Ugreen products across the board they are not the greatest. However, I have used their USB-C devices occassionally for Samsung ethernet or HDMI output and have had no issues. Haven't tried them with DEX though, just direct connection for support needs or non Smart TVs.

This is only 5 in 1. I've seen the 7 in 1 and 9 in 1 on sale for $16

Thanks for this. Was about to purchase at $16 but then realized having the HDMI port would be awesome for using a compatible iPad or Android phone with the big TV. Those apps won't allow casting to a screen, they want your eyeballs on that phone screen for whatever reason. This could be a work around I think. Many apps on the phone where I can't access certain app based streaming video freebies when using desktop website equivalent. And yes I am too lazy to setup an Android emulator on my PC laugh out loud With the product you linked I could even make my Android phone into a desktop PC if the need ever came up. Looks like Samsung DEX is ending wireless support but will still have wired support so Samsung owners would be good to go. iPad owners may want to give it serious thought because the iPad can be made into a very capable desktop using a device like this one.

ugreen has high defect rate, run hot , even their usbc cables were fire hazard. I always had to return and wasn't even taxing it.

I have one of these (for some reason my works IT department issues these instead of actual docking stations for laptops) and I absolutely hate it. The Ethernet port was super spotty to the point that I stopped trying to use it and just run off wifi, my keyboard and mouse will occasionally just stop working and I have to unplug/plug the USB to fix it, and plenty of other random issues with it. It's probably fine for occasional home use where you want to connect an external monitor and keyboard/mouse quickly through one port, but I don't think it handles constant use or full utilization of the ports very well.

I just picked this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYJ9RGYZ up for $12.49 and it works as it should.
I bought this one for the video hookups and audio jack (my Surface does not have audio jack), but may end up returning because you cannot extend to 2 monitors. It will extend to one, but duplicate that on second monitor.
