Which deal are you referring to? Want to have a gauge of what should I look for
Best Buy clearanced the 85" for $1600. Some people got it at $1200.

I snagged one for $1600 and it is an incredible picture in my opinion.

Shipping weight is probably close to it. It's heavy. Tv is around 95lbs and they pack the heck out of it. I was surprised how heavy the packaging was.
Sony TV are always HEAVY especially compared to any other brand.

Bought this tv from Costco in the middle of November 2023 for $2,400. Came with 5 year warranty and free movies from Sony and over a year membership to their Bravia Core high bitrate streaming service. Very happy with the tv and can't believe how much the price has dropped.

It was the best, I drove 1.5 hours or so north to grab the 85" version. Had to rent a U-Haul cargo van and get some ratchet straps, but 10/10 would do it again. LOVE the TV!

This is a really good deal, and now the extended warranty is really cheap. I've had it in my cart for the past week or so, and I originally added the 4-year plan for $129 (I think - I don't remember for sure). I got a notification yesterday that an item in my cart wasn't available so I assumed the TV sold out. Instead, the cost of the extended warranty dropped down to $64, so I had to re-add it to my cart. The original $1500 deal for this TV seemed really good, but now that they dropped it to $1400, part of me is wondering if it will drop another $100 in the next week or two to clear out inventory of this 2023 model.

The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is that I've got a 77" LG C3 still in the box (BB deal for $1500, which is going on again today - great deal btw). I haven't had a chance to open it up yet, and this was going to be my back-up plan in case the C3 had too many reflections in my well-lit room.

I missed out on this by a couple of days. I didn't know we were in the market for a TV until my wife mentioned it, so then I started scouring all the TV deals on SD. Immediately drove to my local BB and asked if there were any left in the warehouse. I saw the $1600 price, but they were sold out.

Rtings rates this tv MUCH better than the SONY 900F 75" I bought for $1800 a few years ago. My 900F is a beautiful TV - so if you're on the fence for an LED - this is a steal for $1400.
I also have a X900F and it's beautiful pic quality, alas Dolby Vision is a failure on that TV.

I had the X900F, and the 85X90L was a massive upgrade.

I feel like they were one firmware update away from fixing it but they gave up. Dolby Vision is damn near unwatchable. I actually deliberately pay for 1080p instead of 4k netflix to avoid it.

I got in on the 1500 deal over black Friday.

Anyone have experience trying to get a price adjustment within 30 days if they lower the price like this?

Yes, I called Walmart customer service and they reimbursed me $100 directly to my credit card.

I ordered it on Dec-1 and the rep said this after a solid 30 minutes when I requested price adjustment -

"thank you so much for your patience, I have thoroughly checked the details, please accept my heartfelt apologies, as the details show that the the item was delivered to you so I will request you to kindly return the item and get a refund on it and purchase the new item on lower price."

This or the U8 or the QM8? All about the same price at 75". The U8 and QM8 have slightly brighter pictures but line up on most other items. The Sony is a year older though.
