Yoga slim 7x is slimmer, lighter(2.8 vs 3.2 lbs), much better screen, and better build quality IMO. I played with both at Best Buy/Costco respectively.
The slim 7i is still a great machine and it was between it and the Yoga Slim 7x for my wife. In the end the much better screen, portability, and more premium feel were the deciding factor over 32GB RAM. With teacher discount and cashback the Yoga Slim 7x was ~$765 OTD direct.
