So I was reading more and it seems the j7+ comes with the automatic emptying base vs the j7 is compatible with the base but doesn't come with it. So I have no idea why the j7 is more expensive without that feature. Unless I read this wrong…

Do you like cleaning a mop pad after every mopping run? If no, the Braava mops are junk. Robot mops that don't self clean are not worth it, in my view, at any price.

There aren't any standalone ones that self clean to my knowledge. You need to go with a combo vacuum/mop it seems like. As for which one: that highly depends on your budget, how nice you want it, what features you prefer, etc. Roborock, Dreame, Narwal, Eufy, all have options.
