Looks like a winner to me. Need a small monitor to pair with a new gaming rig I'm building with my son. This ticks all the boxes.

Yea, only thing missing is really just the mini led for local diming, but other than that, it's seems like a great monitor

It's 1440p, does that really make any difference?

It does at least for the PS5. RTINGS reports that this monitor will do 1440P @ 120 Hz with VRR on. The jump from 1080P to 1440P is massive and will make games look much better.

For a PS5 console hookup which monitor would be best, the Dell G2725D or the Alienware AW2724DM.

I recently got an alienware r16 desktop. I needed a monitor but I decided to NOT go with this one and instead went with the slightly cheaper Dell one (165hz).

This monitor has less text clarity, less contrast, and a lot more ghosting than the Dell one.

If you are just purely gaming, this Alienware is better...but if you are doing office/school work and more media/video things...save yourself the $100 and get the Dell 165hz one instead.

About a week ago it was $135, but $150 is still a good price.
