I went and checked out the 39" version of this monitor, and I'll say two things:

1. The 800R curve is way aggressive.
2. The 3440x1440 resolution at 39" looked bad. It's not high enough resolution IMO. I don't think that 3440x1440 should be used above 34".

If you look at the various LG Display roadmaps that have leaked over the past year, they supposedly will be starting production this month on a 45" OLED display with a 5120x2160 resolution and 240hz refresh. I'd expect to see them announced and shown at CES in a few weeks. It will be awhile before you can buy them, let alone on sale, but I think that is going to be a much better experience.

I tried out the 39" from Best Buy and came to similar conclusions. Outside of the immersion of gaming, an 800R curve is too aggressive to be comfortable doing anything else. Not to mention the panel looks like crap compared to Samsung's OLED - the colors and pixel density are off.
