What's the quality control like on these things? On par with other budget models like Squier Affinity and Epiphone Special II, or punching above its weight, like a Yamaha?

Got one last time it was on sale. Plays great. Stays in tune. Really nice feel. However I will say, bridge pickup doesn't make noise so will have to get that checked out. Other than that, It feels and sounds way better than a Squier imo.

In my experience, quite a bit above Squire Affinity. I have a mid-tier Sterling Ray guitar and it's superb. My favorite guitar by far right now. I'm confident this would make a great entry level guitar.
