Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm looking to upgrade from a ender 3 v2. My biggest complaint about that printer is the speed. I'm currently printing items at 50mm per second and the bigger prints take days. My budget is around $300 and I'm open to other brands. Does anything beat the BL A1?

For a $300 budget, probably not. I can print most PLAs just fine at 250 mm/s on my A1. only slow down to maybe 100 mm/s if I want super shiny finish with silk PLA or really care about high quality surface finish.

The fast printer that prints as fast as a Bamboo labs A1 is from Creality is either the (Ender 3V3 KE) or the (Ender 3V3 3) (Their naming convention is atrocious I know). The KE came out first and it is a fast auto leveling 3d printer the Ender 3V3 3 is the upgraded version of the KE and is one of the newest ones that is on sale at B&H.
As always check reviews online on youtube and such before you invest in a printer. This is just from my personal experience, I've had the KE myself and sold it just to upgrade to the K1C

You should consider flash forge adventurer 5m. It's one of the biggest fdm printers used in print farms in China next to Bambu. It's a corexy printer capable of 600mm/s (same as bambu P1S). Often see it for sale below $300. They sell kits to enclose it for $30+print material. It's no bambu and requires some fiddling but its a solid printer.

If I am looking at something for printing board game figures/accessories (probably nothing with the longest dimension exceeding 4-5") and I best to look at a resin printer?

You can improve your print speed to 150mm/s by simply upgrading the motherboard of your printer. It is like $35 in Amazon.

After a lot of research, we settled on the Bambu A1 mini for $200 over the similarly priced Crealty options.

Well shoot - for $129 I might have tried a resin printer just for fun. Too bad it's sold out.

Yup. I'm overwhelmed with the sheer number of seemingly similar options.

I think the best value would the P1P. You're basically getting the same reliability as Bambu's best printer. It's the longest printer that I am still using. Beating out any Creality, Prusa, and A1 series that I've owned.

Bambus are virtually bulletproof. They're the ones our local library uses for their lab spaces because they require less maintenance than a laser printer.

I'm new to 3d printing myself. I got the flashforge adventurer 5m for $280 on Amazon during black friday.Loving it so far. Started printing within 15 minutes of unboxing it. Now I want the multicolor flashforge printer, but it's OOS everywhere.

I know it doesnt help right now, but I just got a Bambu Labs A1 from their site on sale for $300 a couple weeks ago. The A1 is like crazy faster that the Ender. I have to tell the A1 to print at 50% speed because it shakes the damn table so much I had to put 50 lbs of weights on the table to keep it still. The speed is great for larger, less detailed prints which ill leave on 100% or even set to a higher speed. Before, I had an Ender 3 pro that i learned on and tinkering with for a few years. I hated the manual bed leveling and failed prints of the Ender.
