its the beta-alanine - it means you're taking a bit too much or too fast. I have it in powder form and add it to my workout drink. its purpose is to lower muscle fatigue by reducing the lactic acid buildup
It's definitely the Niacin. I didn't know about this several years ago. When 5 hour energy drink came out, it had a high amount of niacin. 10 minutes after slamming my first one of those, my face and arms broke out in a rash. Was getting hot all over. Didn't know what the hell was happening...allergic reaction, heart attack, was driving at the time and ended up pulling over at the first exit and waited for like 30 minutes for that to pass.

It means it's working. If it were a too much thing you'd develop a tolerance, and I don't experience that and I take a pre workout every day
