This saw is too small to be useful! I have it and wish it would be bigger! Should have just went with the 12".

7-1/4" is big enough for most things that a homeowner might need to miter, such as base board, shoe mold, quarter round, window and door casings, brickmold, picture frames, etc.

12" can surely cut bigger things, but they're expensive, heavy, take up a lot of space to store and to use, and aren't as accurate as smaller saws of equal quality.

I have a Milwaukee 12", smooth like butter but would easily trade it for a smaller one
