I paid 1749 on Black Friday, exact same laptop. Good deal, but not "better" than Black Friday. Still a nice machine.

Interesting deal. Is it worth upgrading from 2021 Apple MacBook M1 Pro 16" 32GB/512GB to this M4 Pro? Don't need really heavy tasks like video editing but also prefer the M4 lighter weight. Smaller screen size is good in some ways too.

The M1 Pro has 10-Core CPU and 16-Core GPU.

It depends. I was listening to a Macbreak Weekly TWiT podcast a while back and one of the hosts was saying how he was able to transcode 6-8 1080p video streams on a base M1 Mac Mini and it was only at ~53% CPU. So it really depends on your needs.
