Seems like a great deal. I don't see this size posted often. 21700 cells are about $6 a piece, and there are 10 in each battery, so that's $120 in cells between the two before considering the cases and controllers.

I miss the previous generation with rubber overmolding to not slide.

Does anyone else only have scheduled delivery as an option?

That's the problem I was having too. They want $35 to have someone deliver. I just want shipping as an option!

$8.99 delivery for me. These were on sale for $179 previously so this is still a good buy.

Mine was a delivery only as well, but it was from a local store, and only took a few hours to get to me and it was free

I got to give me $8.99 now. Ended up ordering. I tried to search forever to find a store somewhere along where I need to drive next week.

That is the old way it was, but they changed the policy and couple years ago, so they are covered now

Home depot has the 2 pack of the 8ah batteries on sale for $149. There are the ones with the 21700 cell for best performance and for being an 8ah battery the package is pretty small.

The Ridgid batteries require a $35 delivery fee. All my other Home Depot deliveries have been free. No in-store pickup is available.

Why no in store pickup?
Sure, " free " delivery to your door is fantastic compared to driving to the store … but with fees being charged, people like the no extra cost option and you would think HD would like people coming through the door, and likely pickup other stuff.

Saying it's free to be delivered while I'm seeing a 9 dollar free is trick or treat behavior. I almost jumped on the 2, 4, 6 HD max deal. Since it was 9 dollars and still a good deal, I bit.

Mine just got delivered. Proof of delivery showed it was picked up at my local HD, I assume curbside because it is marked "Car", and delivered by Doordash.

And I just did an experiment - I tried changing the delivery zip code to cities that are next to mine and they all changed quantities available. There's only 1 HD store near us. Weird.

Good point on the pricing.

My Ridgid 8AH Max Output EXP that I got last year has a rubber pad at each of the four corners on the bottom. They grip the surface fairly well to keep it from sliding. The lower AH batteries seem to lack the rubber pads but Ridgid stepped it up for the 8AH.
