So how many calories do you burn on your long runs? Or 3 hour bike rides?

The first unnecessary comment about the high sugar was 6 days ago. Why not move on to a thread about something you actually buy?

I try to avoid Gatorade due to its high sugar content. Maybe with this one can use less powder to make a drink. How much powder do you use in your drinks?
Depends on what you want to use it for, I use two scoops in a shaker bottle during a run, then about half a scoop in the bottle to sip after a run if it was a particularly salty day

I thought it contains blue coloring to achieve the white end color.

If you are using these as hydration tools, stop.

No information about what electrolytes used or how many mg.

Look at how little potassium is in this drink, way more in a single banana or other sources.

You are basically drinking half a can of Pepsi worth of sugar (22 g) in a 12 oz cup

But we all know that we will drink at least 24 oz since it says to mix in 32 oz - so you are drinking 44 grams of sugar nah huge pass on that.

The only "sports" drinks worth picking up are Gatorlyte or Body Armor IV or Electrolit, these poweders are drinks to replace sodas/juice and contain almost the same amount of sugar

Potassium is one of the least needed electrolyte when running so it makes sense that is has very little

The whole point of an energy and hydration drink like Gatorade is the sugar, to, um, replenish your energy stores that you deplete when working out, along with the water and electrolytes you lose by sweating. A low sugar or sugar-free energy drink is kind of pointless, unless you have dietary sugar issues or prefer to replenish with complex carbs, and there are other drinks for these situations. Plus, as you said, you can just use less powder. I always do as Americans tend to use way too much sugar (and salt, fat, etc.) in basically everything.

Thanks, this is the only workout drink I buy. It's crazy to buy it in bottles if you drink it more than occasionally. Much more expensive and bad for the environment. It's pretty "low tech" and not for really serious athletes looking to get in the best possible health and shape, but it's just fine for us casual types who just want to stay in decent shape and go for runs and bike rides of moderate duration. You could probably make a decent facsimile at home with sugar, salt, citric acid and some flavoring, but this is so cheap that it's almost pointless, unless you really want to fine tune the mix.

I looked at my subtotal and thought I added two in cart since it was $23.90, then I saw Estimated Regulatory Fees:$11.28.... what in the world San Francisco?
