With Dewalt you wouldn't be locked in to the limited Kobalt line which is only sold at Lowes.
Four real Brushless Dewalt tools for essentially $40 apiece (allowing $40 for the batteries and charger) seems like a Screaming Deal to me.
Just know going forward, you're going to have to probably pay more down the line for bare brushless tools like a Circular saw, recip saw or grinder etc.
All that being said, this is a "Buy Now, Think Later" type of deal because it won't last long at this price.

Already got the Kobalt deal for $99 w/ 2 batteries, should I return and get this?
Depends on what you need the tools for. If you're just using them around the house here and there you might as well keep it. If you use em daily then DeWalt is a more of a contractor quality brand. I have Ryobi and Milwaukee and the amount of wear I put on the Ryobi burned out the motor on the driver. Milwaukee didn't have the same issue.

This is a great deal, i paid $100 for just the multi tool and battery
Same here, but still within my return window. I luckily haven't used the oscillating tool, so it's easy to return. This is a better overall deal and will sell off the dril and impact. Thanks OP
Solid deal. Only drawback is going to be the 2Ah batteries. If you do a project, you'll want more. But the 2 included will be more than enough for most people.
That's a good price. Oscillating tool is probably $90, so you are getting the rest for $100 or so, and that's a good value, even though drill model is meh

This is the starter kit I wish I could've started my DIY journey with. All very useful tools. I still use the 809 impact driver simply because I'm waiting on a deal on the 870 to upgrade to, but it's honestly the only piece from the Atomic lineup that wasn't sort of a let down and which I didn't upgrade ASAP. Starting out with the 20v MAX lineup at this price is a no brainer.
