i have a different brand but same exact design. its ok. I paid double that. It's comfortable but the only problem is that the way the legs hook on the cot rail is that it's need to be completely level or if you toss and turn even a little at night the legs will kick out and the thing will collapse under you. probably fine for day use at the beach though

Thank you for the honest response, good to know. As I do camp in uneven terrain, so this one might be out for a choice. Thank you again for taking the time.

Great back support but you're left defenseless to bear attacks

Bought this last time it showed up on SD. Everything looks good and it seems high quality. I haven't taken it out camping and slept on it yet, but it seems more than adequate for a lightweight cot. I'm heavier at 275 lbs and the fabric and frame does not have any signs of stress.

I bought one. Takes some dexterity and a little bit of strength to clamp the legs but overall really light and comfortable. I have back pain and it feels great to lay on it. I'm 150lbs

Thank you, I'm around the same weight and was looking at at cot that truly supports my weight. I've already touched through 2 Colemen Cots.

I don't know about this specific brand, but I have owned a few cots,

My main cot is this Coleman Trailhead, but it's a large more conventional cot. A cheaper chinese no-name cot I had started sagging after about a year of occasional use.

For the kind of cot you're looking at, ultralight, I bought a used Helinox cot, which is at least priced as a premium product (https://www.amazon.com/Helinox-Li...mzmOJ&th=1) but is so much more expensive, if you're intermittently using I would stick with a cheaper one maybe like these depending on the price and reviews. I can't imagine these would last over heavy repeated use.

The original price seems way too inflated. For reference you can get the Coleman trailhead II which is well rated and 35 inch in width for about $53 off amazon now. Just my 2cents

That's a completely different class of cot.. you really can't compare a lightweight (5.3lbs) vs a full size (20lbs) cot. As with most things camping, lighter is more expensive. This is comparable to the helinox (5.1lbs) at a price of $350. With that comparison, this thing is a steal at $45.

Ive learned to not buy cots that lay close to the ground. Much colder at night when you're closer to the ground.

An inch of air under you or ten inches, no difference, zero insulation. The ground provides some insulation over nothing. All cots are cold without insulation like a sleep pad.

also forgot to mention that I solved the collapsing issue by screwing in the legs to the rail. its more of a pain to set up each time but the extra time is worth it instead of getting up several times in the night to reassemble it lol. I use mine for short backpacking trips

That's not true though lol depending on the conditions, the ground is often colder than the air and it absolutely sinks heat much faster than air. As long as the air isn't moving under your cot (basically as long as you're in a tent and don't have wind actively blowing under you) then the air absolutely insulates better than the ground. The overwhelming majority of all outdoor gear insulation works on trapping air because air is a good insulator whereas the ground is not.
