This is comparable to my Juiced ripcurrent 750W . As stated above, 250W on a mid-drive with 80nm of torque is about the same as most 750W rear drive bikes Wink I would consider this a grood, if it had a better battery, it would be a great deal. It has an 36v 11.6a batter, a 48v 15.6a would be ideal and would almost double your range. It says 40mile range, but you would be lucky to get 30 miles.

250w on a hub drive might disappoint you. Good looking bike though.

Just canceled my order. I felt unsure about the merchant and the product. There just doesn't seem to be enough positive reviews for either out there.

Apparently this bike is free if you live in Compton, CA and make less than 33K a year.

They raised the price so now Vitesse is $455... definitely would have jumped at $260. (I need 2)

250W is wildly underpowered and 100% not worth it. Trust me. Great to see that it's a mid drive bafang tho. Great company!
A 250w mid drive is great. A 250w hub drive...not so much.

great deal for mid-drive, the Yamaha ebikes are too tall for my wife, so I in the end I bought a mid-drive motor + battery to modify her MTB

the cost for the kits + battery already cost me $1K

Yamaha has been selling their bikes at blowout prices recently. Plus they're a reputable brand. If you can step up to paying $1200 check out the CrossCore RC. That's a smoking deal for that level of quality. I don't know of any other mid drives under $1k except the Hyper MTB that I have and linked above.

Unfortunately I missed out on that Yamaha deal.
Watts is the capacity of the battery, right? Doesn't have anything to do with the output? So 250w would perform fine but not give me much range?

Missed out? Nope. https://www.yamahabicycles.com/bi...ossCoreRC/

There's two separate concerns regarding "watts".
Watt output of the motor is one thing, i.e. 250W (Nominal), 500W (Max) for that Yamaha.
Watt hours (or amp hours) is how much "gas" the battery has, i.e. 500Wh for that Yamaha (or 13.9 amp hours)
That's a pretty big battery and would give a lot of range. For comparison, the OP bike comes with 11.6 AH and my bike has a 10.5 AH.
