Check your area for restaurants on the app first before you buy it.

Other than that I've used inKind several times now and have saved a fair bit of money by paying with them instead of cash/card. It's fairly easy to use as well. You get the check when you're done eating, type the order number from the check into the inKind app and everything should come right up on the app.

I went recently and paid for my meal with the app, left a cash tip on the table. When the waitress returned she said saw I had paid on her little tablet thing.

Like I said, as long as you have restaurants in your area that you actually like to eat at and you can use the gift cards naturally, it's fairly a no brainer decision.
because they keep diluting their offers and app overall, every week more devaluations and downgrades
Someone said screw it, we're not going to do this like every other website in the world...we're going to create our own locations experience. And someone else signed off on this turd of an implementation.

helpful counter!
I used to use welcome offers (e.g. $50 after $150+ spend) for every new restaurant, so I would go to 20 new restaurants and use 20 welcome offers. A few weeks ago, I went to a new restaurant, I was not able to use the welcome offer because I had already used a welcome offer (for a different restaurant). That is a huge devaluation for me.

Their website is one of the worst when it comes to searching the restaurant on the map. But good deal if you like those places.

The list linked on the Costco page is incomplete. It shows one restaurant near me, whereas the app shows many more here in CT. Even the one place would have been worth it though for this price.

Seems like a super slick deal, unless I'm missing something obvious!!!

Correct. Works as a gift card and can be used at multiple places. tips must be paid via credit card.

Dont forget a 25 off 50 sweetener for using a referral code when signing up
Tip culture in America is really bad. All unaccounted money. Waiters should get paid a little more to cover up tips and say no to tips. Approx $12 billion is paid in tips which is partially/totally unaccountable. Imagine the taxes on it and welfare that can be done to the society.

Is it just me or did they stop giving out their monthly coupons?
they totally did, i emailed because they took that away(the monthly 10 off 30) along with the cash back earned when using gc credit, but you can still earn with attached cc payment- so there is a huge paradigm shift going on. This update is my understanding from the reply back from their support team. I'm not sure if someone else's experience is different based off the still earning 20% back... or maybe just from their last visit pre-change.
that being said- 30-40% off even if not double or triple dipping can still be quite worthwhile for some people's use case if you have a network of restaurants still participating that you frequent. there just isn't the absurd value anymore like before. they're also limiting the new restaurant offers to possibly once with inkind vs previously ~every new restaurant to you had a potential welcome offer (10 off 30, 25 off 75, or 50 of 150 etc)... at least that's what I've seen.

It has worked on take out for me at 2 different locations(world of wraps and bamboo sushi) but may be ymmv potentially. you typically just have to enter in the ticket/check number that it references on the slip so it sees an invoice to apply your credit to... if it's not a new restaurant to inkind- you can probably call and confirm... new restaurants that have been added may have confused wait staff during the seasoning/learning window even during dine-in.. otherwise- most are familiar with inkind and give you a check number to enter into the restaurant section on app to pay.

tempted but their website makes it really hard for me to pull the trigger. I hope they're reading this.

Does anyone know when a restaurant charges auto gratuity, can you pay that with this inkind credit? e.g. meal is 200$, automatic 20% (40$) service charge is added. Do you have to pay 40$ out of pocket or with credit.
I understand that for manual tips, you have to pay out of pocket.
Also when does the 25$ referral bonus kick in? Can i load refer my wife, and split the check with two inkind transaction to take advantage of the 25$ + 25$ referral bonus?

I am near a pizza place that accepts the app to order from. Can't say I enjoyed their food and the total cost was $30+ for 2 18" pizzas. Not exactly the best deal, but what the hell, I'll try some of the other spots in my area. Oh and the pizza place advertised that they have lower prices on their website if you don't use any apps, so expect somewhat of a markup on price.

Takeout works easy. Just pay the bill with the InKind app.

Isn't the ultimately savings is to get takeout and no tip? Smilie
