I bought one before. I love making coffee in this. Built in filter. Easy to clean.

Not a slam against this or a Moka pot in general but if you aren't aware the "3 cups" is espresso cups, not 3x 8-ounces.

Great point -- you can always cut it with hot water if you like it "filter black", or with milk for Americano/Con Leche

Had aluminum moka pots for years and recently upgraded to a stainless steel version by Giannini for $150. Really happy with the performance of stainless steel over aluminum.

What did you like better about it? I'm just curious

Could you use an electric teapot, to put hot water in the bottom of this thing, and then heated on the stove? Would that work? I mean to accelerate it.

That's basically what I do. It conducts heat readily, so operate it with a towel or some other insulator to protect your hands. And I cook it on a small pan to increase the heating area and avoid messing up the handle.

Take it off the heat as soon as it starts pushing out coffee, to avoid overcooking. I leave the lid open and watch it while cooking; it takes just a couple of minutes if you preheat the water.

Bialetti - Moka Express

There is no need for anything else unless you want the larger size. I travel with mine, fits nicely in the suitcase and you pull out the Bialetti, people know you are serious about espresso. Knockoffs, stainless steel work fine...get the Bialetti

I mean this is a specialized pot. If you are getting this you know what this is for. Making cafe cubano with way too much sugar. You wouldn't want to drink a normal cup full of that.

No, aluminum gives you Alzheimer's. That's why you wanna stick with stainless steel.
