It also states that you have to start and file on the app, but you can do all of the actual work on your computer if you want to.
And can i use a different email? I used TurboTax free last year

This offer is valid only if you didn't file with TurboTax last year.
To qualify, you must start and file your taxes using the TurboTax mobile app.
This offer is only available for the "Do your own taxes" product. TurboTax Live products are excluded.
To redeem offer, taxes must be filed by February 18, 2025.
Do I have to upgrade if I have a complex tax situation?
We might ask you to upgrade, but we'll waive the fee as long as you file on the app by February 18.
This applies to our paid Standard, Deluxe, and Premium products, which are typically required for more complex tax situations.
This includes situations like:
Itemized deductions claimed on Schedule A, like charitable contributions, medical expenses, mortgage interest and state and local tax deductions
Unemployment income reported on a 1099-G
Business or 1099-NEC income (often reported by those who are self-employed, gig workers or freelancers)
Stock sales (including crypto investments)
Income from rental property or property sales
Credits, deductions and income reported on other forms or schedules
What if I don't end up filing my taxes using the app?
You're eligible for this offer when you start and file your taxes in the TurboTax mobile app.
If you switch to doing your taxes using a web browser instead of the app, we'll show you a reminder that you must file in the app to redeem the offer.
If you choose not to file in the app, the cost of TurboTax will go back to regular pricing, which is based on the complexity of your tax return.

Also, it appears you can start the offer via the TurboTax app, switch to desktop version to do your return if you prefer, then switch back to app to submit. Great loophole if you prefer to use desktop for certain pieces of your return.
