So apparently in 2023 (subsequently in 2024 and 2025), they started just creating a base game that is continuously updated. You then get access to songs for whatever year you purchased (including multiple years). Meaning the 2023 and 2025 versions of the game get updated to basically be the same thing, with different song "packs".

Translation: no physical disc.

Confirmed in the PS5 game's description on the Best Buy site — no disc.

Did this just go live? I'm about to return something to BB for gift credit and would rather use that than pay cash. But I won't get the gift credit until this weekend at the earliest.

Be wary of their app. I bought 2022 with the dance+ and assumed I'd be able to play the game indefinitely. The app no longer works for that years game as of last year and we are unable to play. Read the reviews of the app, awful support. Go with switch if you can.

To get all the songs they try to upsell you on a subscription for like $25/m. You also need to have both Nintendo accounts and Epic accounts logged in, which is insane. I can't justify buying these games again.

Can someone give me a simple explanation? We have Just Dance 2018 or 2019 as a physical game and nothing since. I don't usually connect our switch to the Internet but am willing to do it for this one. I don't really understand the issue. It sounds like you buy this "game", get a code to download something, and that's it? It sounds like the issue is you don't get access to those songs forever and they can be taken away at some point? Or is it that they make you sign up for some kind of subscription service for further games? I guess I don't mind that, as long as I can get the songs I bought.

The games are great - till they are not. It's really annoying how you have to log into their site in order to play the game. Wish I could just play the game without having to login.
