well the ip rating for the box they will not test for long term burying. I do not see why it wouldn't maintain a good seal until the gasket degrades. I couldn't think of a better or over engineered item for your application it is probably over kill.

I have a Nanuk 910 and it works very well for that, though it will hold a very limited amount.

9mm 5" pistol with dot and 3 extended magazines for me. Standard Glock or whatever could absolutely hold more.

The Nanuk 915 is also on a significant sale and could hold a lot more.

From the specs seems like you can only put 2 in. I think if you go with taller model you can use it for 4-5 pistols. If anyone have more knowledge on it please correct me.
