WH-1000XM5 has an excellent noise canceling function. It is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning.

Same with XM4 from its inception with no indication the issue has ever been fixed by Sony.

Note that Sony responds with BS, acting like they'll help but they don't. They simply refuse to cover it -- same with XM5. These issues and more, with both models, are all over reddit too.

The XM5 hinge WILL break on you. Mine only lasted a year. I like buying them from secondipity on ebay because of the 2 year warranty. They will send you a check if yours breaks.
