Why is this brand so expensive? Does it ship with a gold bar inside?
it's a relative question , same as why is bmw > toyota or apple > other pc's..
many would say it's about style, integration (how easy to install, add additional components over time, etc), sound/customer support. just as many would say if you have a dedicated 7.2 system and so on, i'd be a better sound.
i think a more important factor is the price for this system vs how much it costs elsewhere, for if you're not in the market for sonos or bose style systems or already not plugged into that 'infrastructure', it's a very different discussion
This comment implied that BMW is better than Toyota and that MACs are better than my gaming rig... Both are wrong lmao
no, if that how it was understood, then it was not my intention. I am saying that this offers things than other systems that may sound better do not, such as wireless connectivity, good app, good upgradeability, looks nice, vs a 7.2 wired system with speaker cables, big towers, etc...
both are good for different people in different situations. what my point is, IF u are in the market for this system, then is it a good deal? and if it is, then that's my point
Looking to move on from my separates setup and going with a soundbar/sub. How does this stack up against Samsung's finest and also the Sennheiser Ambeo.

This is a good deal for this particular set up. But it depends on what your future plans are. You can buy refurbished Arc SL for $509, which will be more "future-proof" if you plan on upgrading the system further down the line with a sub or something.

Seconded, I would get an official refurbished arc for 509 anyway over this combo. You can buy the Ikea bookshelf or painting speakers for 100 apiece in place of eras and they perform equally as well for surround setup. If you plan to to use the beam alone and scatter eras around the house that is maybe a different story but I am a big fan of Ikea/Sonos collab and the sound of those is pretty similar to era 100's but are way more cool imo. Having a painting or a lamp playing music is a win for me

Depends on what metrics you're comparing. The driving experience of an M car and fit and finish of a typical bmw is definitely better than any Toyota on the market if comparing same class vehicles. You're also comparing a custom build PC to a MAC. Different form and function. There's a reason why most professionals use ipads and MacBook pros.
