Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
(2) 1-cup small round containers with lids
(2) 2-cup small rectangular containers with lids
(2) 4-cup medium square containers with lids
(2) 4-cup medium round containers with lids
(1) 6-cup large rectangular container with lid
Notice that its got 4 x 4-cup containers (2 each of Square and round) - this alone is more value than the Amazon deal ($18 for 3 containers), but it also has 5 more containers - 4 smaller ones and 1 large 6-cup container along with it, making it an unbeatable value.
Of course, if you just needed 1 or 2, or don't have access to Costco, or you strictly needed all of them in the same shape, or if the Lids in this deal are much better than Snapware such that it is a dealbreaker, then the Costco listing may not be for you - but I thought the community should know about this popular Costco offering.
Corning is the original manufacturer of Pyrex. Corning used to make consumer grade Pyrex in addition to Pyrex used in labs for things like beakers and flasks. Long story short, in 1998, Corning sold the rights to their consumer products, which were then resold to another company in 2000. This company decided that using the original formula for Pyrex was too expensive using borosilicate, instead using glass made from soda-lime. Subsequently, this newer soda-lime Pyrex is not as strong as original Pyrex and does not stand up to extreme temps and/or changes in temps like the original Pyrex did.
Fast forward and now, we have the newer Pyrex, which is sold under the name pyrex and the original Pyrex, still owned by corning, exclusively making lab equipment, sold as PYREX.
Basically, when you see this stuff sold at places, it's not real Pyrex and certain people love to tell everyone about it.

Tempted as I am a proponent of using glass in the kitchen for storage etc but seeing a lot more fit/seal and explosive reviews when sorted by recency on the baking dish.

I'm surprised that nobody has made the obligatory PYREX vs pyrex contribution yet...
Today's pyrex is window glass, AKA soda-lime glass, which is not resistant to thermal shock. At one time, this version of pyrex may have been annealed but it was never the equivalent of the original PYREX which was borosilicate glass which is used in laboratories. Do NOT use this crap in ovens or other heating processes.

The Pyrex Freshlock Glass Food Storage Container, 4 Cup (Square) [amazon.com] in this deal is $6 after coupon (Round variant also available for same price). I was about to buy 3 of them for $18 when I remembered that the Snapware Pyrex 18-piece Glass Food Storage Set [costco.com] was on Sale at Costco for $20 in my warehouse (Normally $25) and found it contains the following pieces:
(2) 1-cup small round containers with lids
(2) 2-cup small rectangular containers with lids
(2) 4-cup medium square containers with lids
(2) 4-cup medium round containers with lids
(1) 6-cup large rectangular container with lid
