I'm one of those people that haven't experienced anything weird. I have a total of 8 Sonos speakers (2x 4 speaker home theater systems) and mostly use it for TV/surround + Spotify. I read all the news of what's going on, but tbh I never use the Sonos app aside from setting up the speakers.

I own a bunch of Sonos stuff. The app works fine; most of the issues I've seen are people with network issues. I actually just tried this speaker the past week. I ended up going with two eras 300s instead. I think this is a great speaker/setup if you prefer more bass and a louder, party-like sound. I've been impressed with Atmos on the Eras and preferred to have BT and a more updated speaker. This is a solid price though for sure.

Sonos is a joke after their CEO debacle. I still can't get their software to work. For anyone that wants to buy a Sonos… just google "Sonos Debacle"

Have total 28 Sonos devices running on a unifi network. The app works just fine.

The FIVE is an amazing speaker. If I needed more then this would be a great deal. Was lucky enough to pick up most with that YMMV special 40% off upgrade coupon deal, 1+ years ago.

Don't know who needs to see this, but the best way to use Sonos these days is via the Spotify app!!
The native Gen 2 app is terrible.
This is a great deal if you're in the market for more Sonos speakers though as they are still the best networked speakers option on the market

I'm in for one—this is a great price. I've been planning to upgrade my TV surrounds from the Sonos Play:1 to the Play:5 for a while now. I've been a Sonos user since 2017 and have gradually expanded my system over the years. Currently, I have 11 Sonos components, including speakers, a smart speaker, a subwoofer, and a soundbar. While the app update launch in May was rocky, Sonos has since resolved the issues, and I hope they've learned from the experience. Overall, I think they create high-quality, premium products that work seamlessly together and deliver some of the best sound in the industry.

I tried 2 300's as a stereo pair. They sound funny if you don't have spatial contents/music. They sound great for surround sound though. Go to Best Buy and try them out.
