$14/mo 5Gb on Tello and you're not locked in for a year.
This deal ends up at $157 including tax and shipping for the 3Gb plan.
Their $160/yr on their site for 5Gb is a better deal, but still locked

My current plan is 5GB/mo which expires in 6 months. If I apply the code of this plan, would the plan extend another year with 3GB/mo after the current plan expires?
Red pocket never extends. It always starts as new. Wait till expiry before attempting anything.

My iPhone has call failure issues with red pocket. They can not solve it and I have to restart my phone almost every day. Ported out one monthe before my plan ends. Right after the porting out, I have received tons of spam calls every day.

Don't transfer your number to Red Pocket. They're the absolute worst. Customer service laughs and hangs up on you. They don't throttle your data when you run out on your unlimited plan, they will disable your data completely. I barely use any data on the plan. They claim their TOS reserves the right to do whatever they want and then try to upsell you on buying more data.

Chiming in to confirm Red Pocket customer service is awful. Be very wary if porting in a phone number you care about. US Mobile or Infinimobile or Tello are on my short list when the time comes in 2025. I'd only trust Red Pocket for a spare phone or something with a number I don't really need to keep when the plan ends. Their service is just fine and I'm sure many of you will have zero problems. Used it multiple years with their eBay plans with no problems up until I tried to port out which was a nightmare due to incompetent customer service staff.

I'll present the alternative view. I was an eBay annual plan customer of RedPocket since 2020, and I just left earlier this month when they failed to offer this plan at anything near their historical price. That issue aside, I had no real problems with their service (GSMA, Dallas, Boca Raton, FL, Las Vegas mainly). I did have to contact CS several times over this period for relatively minor issues such as the monthly data allotment replenishing incorrect at annual renewals. Utilized both phone and chats with CS. Never any issues (but some heavier accents), and problems were all resolved. Also had issue when I ported out this month as they initially rejected the port out request despite me unlocking the account and providing the receiving carrier with correct account info. While my chat with RP took longer than I would like, they generated new numbers and the port then happened quickly while I was still chatting. For people that really want unlimited data, this plan is not for you. Nor are any of the cheaper plans. But that's all in the fine print to those who read it. RP states when you hit your monthly high speed allowance you will be throttled to 2G speeds. Do your own search, but those speeds will be basically unusable for most data purposes. Comparing RP to MVNO's that only utilize T-Mobiles network is irrelevant. T-Mobile is widely considered the 3rd place U.S. network and prices accordingly regardless of the channel you utilize to get on there. Sure, that network might be perfect for some people who live in a major city, don't travel, and largely only care about their service in a limited location. But most other people will do better overall on either Verizon or att.

So despite the naysayers, my experience as an ex-customer was sufficient to suggest someone consider RP if you truly understand what you are buying and its benefits and limitations.

Ya. RP is fine on Verizon network and I like that they even allow you to switch between the big 3 without changing the phone number. That is said I had whole family on RP before Visible showed up... Now we have mostly moved out of RP to Visible. I still have two basic lines on RP because they do not need unlimited data and only use very minimal mobile data every month.

Can anyone shed light on how good is redpocket w.r.t totalwireless or t-mobile based mvno? My mint annual plan is slated to expire early Jan and plan to switch to redpocket. My prime coverage requirement will be mostly in downtown Chicago.
Best way to test this is to buy one month plan and test. If you like the service switch to the annual plan.

I was waiting for this deal since before BF. Alas, I could not wait and switched to Infimobile (after several years with RP). TBH, my experience with Infimobile's CS is about the same as RP ... both are competent enough. At $99/yr and 10GB/mo of data, Infimobile is definitely a slick deal! I paid $120 for the 5Gb plan last year, and RP now wants $140+shipping. Price increase for inflation is fair, but RP's price increase in not reasonable IMO.

Infimobile has worked flawlessly for me since the port. In fact, I am now in Asia and their wifi calling is working great. My wife is on Visible and her wifi calling isn't working. Go figure.
