Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Got 5 years for $31. First time the billing date shifted from Feb 1st 2025 to Feb 1st 2027. Doing it again shifted the billing date to Feb 1st 2030 🤣

Good find. When I renewed it only gave me a year extension to 5/2026 but mine also said if I cancel it will expire after 5/2027 so I hit yes, cancel membership and now the expiration updated to 5/2027 on my account. Thanks!

When AMC had the deal earlier this year that ended in September for renewal I thought my account had an error. It was expiring in Oct '24 but when I paid the renewal account was showing next billing 'Oct '26.
Now I'm wondering should I try renewing one more time.

Edit: Went ahead and renewed again and now expires Oct '28

I wish I had that luck lol. Tried the cancel trick people just brought up after the 2nd renewal didn't add any time and it only extended it from Jan 1st 2027 to December 31st 2027. At least it added the year, buy I'm at 3 years for $30+tax now. Should not have tried to press my luck lol

Same, I just renewed, and it only displayed one year, but when I went to cancel it updated to 2 years.

Worked for me. Renewed it and said it expired on September of 2026, instead of 2025. Then went to cancel and it said September of 2027. Thank you OP.

There's a delay, just wait. Mine took 20+ mins to update. I thought I only got a year like a handful of other people and when I checked again just now it updated on its own from Dec 2025 to Jan 2027
