Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Seems to be the case with me as well. After checkout it said 2026. But on my amc profile, says 2027

They may have a promotion coming up as well - and could be why this is available - They did $6 renews way back when and did a $10 renewal couple of years ago - around the same time of year..

but thank you for posting -
bought 6 at the $6 year deal and many said they may not be around after 2020 --

Well look at Interstellar taking off - movies on the BIG screen is just WAY Better IMO ..

So here's to hopeing - good till 2030 now..

My subscription lapsed a while ago so I signed up (NOT renewed) and got 1 year with a next billing date of Dec 2025, as usual. Immediately renewed and the date changed to Jan 2029.

Showed 2 years after my renewal. I then hit cancel and the membership still shows the 2 years. So $15 until Dec 2026. Renewed a second time and it shows an additional 2 years (next billing date is Jan 2029). Was waiting to see if AMC did the$10 deal for the yearly membership, but if this deal sticks, then it's even better. Thanks OP.

Added two years but expect it to be corrected. Cancelled it though which may or may not avoid them being able to correct it automatically. Now expires early 2027.

I renewed in early November this year, and was going to get in on this. When I opened my AMC app, it's showing next renewal being 12/1/2026. It should be 12/1/2025, so it may just be a glitch for everyone who is already a member, and who knows if they'll correct it. I might do it anyway since it's going up $2 next year. Just a heads up.

Edit: I renewed and now next billing date is 12/1/2028. Thanks OP!

Exactly. I did this 10 days ago just to save the $2, and I also noticed the extra year appearing well before this thread was even posted. I figured it was just a glitch, but either way the Stubs membership pays for itself even if you only go to a few Tuesday movies a year and get the free B-day Popcorn and drink.

Every theatre around me has that going on, AMC is the only one that makes you pay extra to get the discount.
